I added the link for the October Ensign. It is all about the Book of Mormon. I have loved reading it along with the Book of Mormon. There is a message in there from Elder Christofferson titled, "How to Study the Book of Mormon". It was wonderful and so perfect for this challenge. I shared nearly the entire article with the children last week and it helped give them some things to think about as they read.
Last night during Family Home Evening Brad asked the children if they have learned anything new during their personal reading and it was wonderful to listen to their replies. Even James shared something (he was excited to read about the Red Sea, which he has learned about in a game he likes to play). I hope you and your family are learning new things, too.
3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
Moroni 10:3-5
